I was discharged from my TD in February this year and a few months later noticed that MBNA and Max Recovery are continually showing as defaulted on my experian credit file. I've phoned both these companies and explained my discharge status and the defualts are showing in error as they were included in my protected trust deed. They agreed and advised they would update their records. Six months later, there's been no change. What is my next step?
Thanks

Hi Kezzabelle5.

Make a formal complaint to them. You can do this by letter, email, or phone.

Large financial firms employ smart empowered people to deal with complaints, they have to deal with them within fixed periods of time, they have to report to their regulators about how they dealt with them, and you have access to the Financial Ombudsman if you remain dissatisfied afterwards.

People here have reported receiving compensation in similar scenarios to yours.

Hi there, thanks I shall look into this today! My credit score is continually falling due to the constant defaults on my file.

I had the same problem.
It did take to me complaining then as TDA says they started listening and quoting fixed time periods to respond.
I did receive compensation.
I had to phone on several occasions and it did take 3 months.
