A Guide To The Debt Arrangement Scheme Added To Trust-Deed.co.uk

We are delighted to announce that a new guide to the Debt Arrangement Scheme has been added to Trust-Deed.co.uk.
The guide has been written for the website by The Accountant in Bankruptcy ( Scotland’s Insolvency Service) and we are very appreciative of their contribution.
This guide provides an outstanding introduction to what the Debt Arrangement Scheme (DAS) is, who it might help, how it works, and how to apply.
The Debt Arrangement Scheme (DAS) is an important option to consider for anyone in Scotland who is concerned about their personal debt.
In particular it may appeal to homeowners (with significant equity in their homes) for whom a Protected Trust Deed might not be appropriate. It may also be of interest to anyone in, or currently considering, a debt management plan. Compared to a debt management plan, DAS provides greater certainty with regard to the freezing of interest and also legal protection from creditors.
