Mark McFadyen is a Director of Philip Gill (Scotland) Ltd, an Insolvency Practitioners handling Trust Deeds based in Glasgow. Mark has developed valuable knowledge and experience during his 22 years in the Scottish insolvency profession. Mark's insolvency career started in the mid 80's after responding to an ad in the local paper to become an Insolvency Administrator. Since then Mark has benefitted from great training at every stage as his career has developed. "I have been involved in all areas of insolvency handling both business and personal debt cases. |
The personal debt side of the work is the area I have always preferred. The advice and assistance I provide to individuals in financial trouble usually signals a new beginning for them. No matter how long you've been doing the job this still provides a huge sense of professional and personal satisfaction".Mark continues, "At Philip Gill & Co we have developed a team of Trust Deed experts who not only handle their jobs professionally but also possess great human and interpersonal skills. Our clients tell me that they appreciate this enormously at a time when so many of them have been experiencing great stress and worry".Mark leads this client-focussed effort by personal example. "I maintain a hands-on approach to every case I am involved with. Where geographically possible I try to take initial meetings myself. I am also always just a phone call away if anyone needs advice.
As a firm we provide individual advice to suit individual circumstances and deliver a solution which has a clearly defined start and end date".Mark is Glasgow-born and continues to live in the area with his family. "I was married in the New Romantic 1980's to a girl who found a guy in French flares and a Cavalry jacket attractive! We're still married and have a 16 year old daughter".
Mark is also a keen 5-a-side footballer, is learning to speak Bulgarian, and has also recently taken up running, "In my area you need to be carrying a television when running to blend in. I think I might have to stick to the football".
