I am an Insolvency Supervisor with Henderson Loggie and am based in the Edinburgh office. I predominantly cover the Lothians, Borders and Fife areas; we have other experts based in our Aberdeen, Dundee and Glasgow offices covering much of the rest of the country. I’m originally from Carnoustie and my first foray into the world of insolvency was with Henderson Loggie in their Dundee office over eight years ago. I met my husband, of just over a year, in Edinburgh on a night out and took the plunge to leave most of my friends and family behind and move to Edinburgh.

Prior to working in the insolvency field, like most people, I had little knowledge about how to deal with debt and the various options available to people who had financial difficulties. Over the last eight years I would like to think that I, along with my colleagues, have provided assistance and given peace of mind to a large number of people from various walks of life by giving them the appropriate advice for their particular situation.

One major thing that I have learned is that if you find yourself in debt and you are finding it hard to cope it’s important that you deal with the situation as soon as possible. The longer that a debt problem is ignored the worse it typically becomes… the earlier an expert is engaged, the faster an appropriate solution can be found.

When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My husband has also introduced me to the joys of rugby, I would point out watching not playing! I regularly attend the Autumn Tests and Six Nations in the hope that we will hit that winning streak!
